6th Bomb Wing
The 6th used the pirate during most of its SAC years. |

7th Bomb Wing
The first patch is shown on
the 7th Bomb Wing's web site as that in use until 1952. In
1952, the eagle was approved. It was used on
all subsequent SAC patches. The two circular designs were used
in the 1950s. The 7th Bomb Wing web site shows the one with red
letters as being most frequently used. The "Black Barons" patch was used during the Vietnam
bombing. Since the 7th has been under the Air Combat Command,
it has been using the original 3 cross design shown on the bottom
row. |
