Information for captions (Unit
Name, Bases, years B-36 flown, and squadrons from Convair B-36 Peacemaker
by Meyers K. Jacobsen; Schiffer Military History Publishing; Atglen, PA.
Jacobsen does not list the 9th, but use of B-36 is confirmed by Air Force Combat
Wings by Ravenstein. NOTE: Several of these units were originally
Strategic Reconnaissance Wings, but later became Bombardment Wings. There
is not enough space in the caption to present the full spellings so it has been
abbreviated to "Recon / Bomb." Introductory copy needs to provide full
